Day 3 - Across the pass of Bystre Sedlo

We were still pretty tired after yesterday's climb and adding to that my genius which led us to spend a fairly warm night (the fan you put it in exhaust, not intake, otherwise, it's hot). Despite this, we decided to tackle what turned out to be the most challenging hike we have ever done. 12km, 1000m elevation gain and breathtaking sceneries. The hike takes you around the peak of Solisko through the mountain tarns and across the pass of Bystre Sedlo that stands at 2438m.

Aliona took the lead and set the pace for the day which was absolutely perfect, slow and steady on the climb and ridiculously fast on the descents.

I won't go too far into the details, it was hard, it was beautiful and it took us 6h29 minutes, which I'm relatively proud of. There were some passages with chains that were pretty thrilling but we powered through with the thought of the cold beer waiting for us in Chata pod Soliskom.

We ran into a herd (?) of Kamsik (chamois) on the way up but they were a bit far, on the way down we saw a mom and her little Kamsichko who treated us with a bit of jumping.

We saw some pretty beautiful flowers too, impossible to figure out what they are, but they're dam gorgeous.

Yesterday we walked from chata pod soliskom on foot and the hike was nice but a bit tedious so today we decided to take the chair lift to go down (also because we were a tad exhausted). Anyways, pictures are worth 1000s of words. So here they are. Tomorrow is rest day, we head to Zakopane in Poland to try to find campgrounds so we can chill, shower, and empty all the waste water we have accumulated.
